Chapter One: New Ghoul is the first episode of the first season of Monster High. It premiered on January 20, 2018.
Synopsis[]
Frankie Stein is one of the new students at Monster High. What starts off as a promising first day, where she meets new BFFs Clawdeen Wolf and Draculaura, turns into the start of her epic feud with Cleo de Nile, the HBIC of the school, and a body being found on school grounds.

Opening Scene[]
Frankie Stein is a new student at Monster High and approaches the front gate of a creepy haunted mansion-looking place.
FRANKIE (voiceover): Dear Diary, my name is Frankie Stein. I'm starting my first day at Monster High, and I'm really nervous... but also really excited to meet new people... I don't get out much... You see, I was born 15 days ago... literally!
Frankie opens the gate to the school and begins a slow walk to the school.
FRANKIE (V.O.): I know I don't look 15 days old, but I'm not your average girl... or should I say ghoul. Yeah, I'm a reanimated corpse, and my father is one of the most famous monsters of his generation... I just wish he didn't say, "It's ALIVE!" every morning since I was born.
Frankie gets to the door of the school.
FRANKIE (V.O.): I just hope I make some ghoulfriends.
Frankie opens up the door.
(INTRO)
Scene 1[]
Frankie looks around the school, amazed by seeing all the monster teens in the hallways of Monster High.
FRANKIE: Wow! This place looks scary cool.
Clawdeen Wolf walks in behind Frankie with her younger sister, Howleen Wolf as both start bickering.
CLAWDEEN: ...and do not talk to me... and -
HOWLEEN: But mom said you have to be nice to me on my first day.
CLAWDEEN: Did you just interrupt me?
Clawdeen and Howleen then part ways as Frankie watches on. Scarah Screams then appears over to her.
SCARAH: You are new here? Hi, I'm Scarah Screams.
FRANKIE: Yes! I'm Frankie...Frankie Stein.
SCARAH: Perfect! You will make a perfect piece for the Gory Gazette's latest interviews with some of the new ghouls of Monster High.
FRANKIE: Uh, thanks... I'd love to do that... but can I get help to the headmistresses office?
SCARAH: Sure!
Scarah takes Frankie to Headless Headmistress Bloodgood's office.
FRANKIE: So, what are you, Scarah? If you don't mind me asking.
SCARAH: It's no problem. I'm a Banshee.
FRANKIE: What's that?
SCARAH: I sense death and read minds.
FRANKIE: That's pretty clawsome! All I do is fall apart.
SCARAH: Yeah, I guess it is! Although some of my ghoulfriends think I can sense their death, but I have to remind them I'm not psychic. I just scream when a death has recently occurred.
FRANKIE: I guess it makes your ghoulfriends more nervous when you scream.
SCARAH: Haha! I guess.
Frankie and Scarah get to Bloodgood's office, and Scarah knocks twice before the door opens by itself. Frankie enters a dark room.
BLOODGOOD: Who is it?
FRANKIE: I'm Frankie Stein... I'm a new student here!
BLOODGOOD: .... Ah yes! I'm Headless Headmistress Bloodgood. We have your papers and I have prepared a map for you! I have also asked one of our students to help be your guide.
The door knocks twice, and Lagoona Blue enters the room and turns on the lights, revealing Bloodgood's head sitting on her desk while her body rocks in her chair.
FRANKIE (whispers): Oh! I get it..."H E A D L E S S".
BLOODGOOD: Lagoona will help guide you, Frankie. Oh! And Frankie... Welcome to Monster High!
Scene 2[]
Lagoona takes Frankie to her locker.
LAGOONA: ...So, Frankie. I'm Lagoona, I'm a sea monster and a member of the swim team... Speaking of, I've got to swim... I have a swim meet right now.
FRANKIE: It's okay, I can use the map Bloodgood gave me to get to class.
LAGOONA: Are you sure? This school is pretty big and easy to get lost in.
FRANKIE: Yeah! It's fine.. I've got this!
LAGOONA: Okay! But we need to meet up later, and I can introduce you to some of my ghoulfriends.
FRANKIE: That'll be great!
Lagoona leaves. Frankie goes to her locker, where Heath Burns notices her and walks over.
HEATH: Hey there! You're new here, right?
FRANKIE: Yeah! I'm Frankie.
HEATH: Cool...Heath! ...Heath Burns. Nice to meet you.
Deuce Gorgon is at his locker wearing sunglasses and checking himself in the mirror when he notices Heath flirting with Frankie in the background.
DEUCE: Oh my... That poor ghoul.
Cleo de Nile slams her locker.
CLEO: WHAT GHOUL!?
Deuce points over at Frankie.
CLEO: Is Heath flirting with the new ghoul? HAHAHA.... Tragic!
DEUCE: Should we stop it?
CLEO: WE?
DEUCE: Me?
CLEO: If you want, but just remember...
Cleo walks over to Deuce and kisses him.
CLEO: You're mine!
Deuce then walks over to save Frankie from Heath, while Cleo watches on.
DEUCE: Hey Heath!
HEATH: Hey! This is Frankie. She is...
Deuce takes off his sunglasses, where a blast of green light emerges from his eyes as he locks his stare on to Heath. Revealing, Heath has turned into stone.
DEUCE: Sorry, Frankie. Heath means well, but his flirting is ...really bad.
FRANKIE: Oh! Wow, thanks. And your name is?
Cleo rushes over and butts in.
CLEO: MY BOYFRIEND!?
DEUCE: Deuce! And this is Cleo.
CLEO: His girlfriend.
FRANKIE: Well... it's nice to meet you both.
CLEO: Yeah, yeah! Whatever! Can we leave now, Deuce?
DEUCE: Uh, yeah... Frankie, it was nice to meet you, and don't worry about Heath. He will remain frozen for a few hours.
Frankie smiles at Deuce as Cleo grabs him and turns away. Cleo and Deuce leave.
FRANKIE: WOW! Deuce...
Frankie falls back on to the lockers, crushing on Deuce. She falls on to Invisi Billy who is currently invisible.
BILLY: Ouch!
FRANKIE: Oh my Ghoul, I'm sorry.
Billy makes himself visible.
FRANKIE: Are you a Ghost?
BILLY: (sigh) No!.... I'm just Invisible.
Billy walks away.
Scene 3[]
After class, Frankie meets up with Lagoona.
FRANKIE: Hey! Lagoona, how was your swim meet?
LAGOONA: Perfect! Come with me to meet some of my Ghouls.
FRANKIE: Clawsome!
At the bathroom, Draculaura is putting makeup on in the mirror without a reflection, while Clawdeen is in the background reading a fashion magazine.
CLAWDEEN: Can you believe I have to go to the SAME school as my siblings?
DRACULAURA: That must suck!
CLAWDEEN: Tell me about it, sis.
DRACULAURA: So, how do I look?
CLAWDEEN: Freaky fabulous! As always.
DRACULAURA: Thanks. 1,600 years of practice put to great use.
Frankie and Lagoona enter the bathroom.
LAGOONA: Hey, gils. This is Frankie. She's new here!
CLAWDEEN: Hey Frankie! I'm Clawdeen.
DRACULAURA: Hi Frankie! Draculaura.
Frankie glances over at the mirror and sees Draculaura without a reflection.
FRANKIE: WOW!
DRACULAURA: Yeah! I'm a vampire.
CLAWDEEN: And I'm a werewolf.
FRANKIE: It's great to meet you all.
DRACULAURA: So anyways, Frankie. Have you met any cute boys yet?
CLAWDEEN: Chill out, Draculaura! The day hasn't even ended yet.
DRACULAURA: Sor-
FRANKIE: Actually, I have met one cute guy.
LAGOONA: Who is the lucky guy?
FRANKIE: Deuce!
DRACULAURA: Deuce? As in Deuce Gorgon? As in Cleo de Nile's CURRENT boyfriend?
FRANKIE: Yeah.
CLAWDEEN: NO!
FRANKIE: NO?
LAGOONA: Cleo is a psychopath. She will destroy you if you go after her soulmate.
FRANKIE: I wasn't going to go after him... I just thought he was cute.
CLAWDEEN: Well, don't let Cleo catch you saying that, otherwise, she will put some type of mummy curse on you.
The bell rings.
DRACULAURA: Hey, Frankie! Whose class have you got next?
Frankie looks down at her timetable.
FRANKIE: Mr. Rotter.
DRACULAURA: Same, I'll take you to class. Later ghouls.
Scene 4[]
At Mr. Rotter's classroom, Frankie and Draculaura take their seats as it appears the teacher hasn't appeared yet.
FRANKIE: So...uh, Draculaura!
DRACULAURA: Yes?
FRANKIE: What's the deal with Cleo?
DRACULAURA: Oh, Frankie! How much time do you have? Cleo's "deal" is over 5,842 years deep...give or take a few years.
FRANKIE: Wow!
DRACULAURA: But, let me give you the recent gossip.
FRANKIE: Okay...
DRACULAURA: Well, Clawdeen and Cleo used to be best ghoulfriends... but not anymore, since Cleo used to date Clawdeen's older brother, Clawd. Who, by the way, is really cute!
FRANKIE: Why'd they break up?
DRACULAURA: No one really knows... but from the looks of it, it was Cleo who did the breaking-up as Clawd was really heartbroken by this.
FRANKIE: Cleo doesn't sound like a good monster.
Mr. Rotter enters the class.
ROTTER: Class! Please turn your textbooks to page 666.
Mr. Rotter goes to close the door, but Deuce and Cleo appear late to class.
ROTTER: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?
DEUCE: Sorry we are late, sir.
ROTTER: I can see that!
CLEO: Mr. Rotter, please! Give us a second chance.
ROTTER: I guess! But don't let this happen again.
As Cleo and Deuce take their seats, Draculaura and Frankie continue gossiping.
DRACULAURA: But then, almost a day after Clawd and Cleo broke up, she began dating Deuce. Who is also Clawd's ex-best friend.
FRANKIE: Oh, dear.
Frankie looks down at Cleo, but Cleo turns around at her, giving her a menacing look, making Frankie go back to her seat.
ROTTER: So, class! It appears we have a new student today!
Mr. Rotter looks up at Frankie.
ROTTER: So, why don't you introduce yourself to the class.
Frankie gets up from her seat and goes down to the front of the classroom but Cleo trips her up, causing Frankie to fall and release one of the stitches holding her hand, making the hand run on its own.
ROTTER: What is going on!?
Frankie's hand then jumps on top of Cleo's head, causing Cleo to let out a huge Banshee scream and break the windows in the classroom.
ROTTER: Both of you go to Headmistress Bloodgood's office, NOW!
CLEO: But... I didn't do anything!
FRANKIE: Yes, you did! You tripped me.
CLEO: DID YOU JUST DEFY ME!?
FRANKIE: No... I'm telling the truth!
Frankie and Cleo look over at Mr. Rotter, who is angry.
DRACULAURA: Oh, no.
Scene 5[]
At Bloodgood's office, Frankie and Cleo are having a meeting with her.
BLOODGOOD: So, what I want both of you ghouls to do is make up and put this petty behavior behind you... This school has already been in enough trouble after Heath Burns set the creepateria on fire. But...it was your scream that caused all the windows to smash, Miss de Nile! How do you expect to pay for all this?
CLEO: My daddy will bail me out.
The bell rings.
BLOODGOOD: (sigh) Of course. Cleo, you may leave! Frankie, please stay.
FRANKIE: Um. Okay.
BLOODGOOD: I know you're new here, and the world seems all new to you, too. But, we have to share this world with humans, and humans are the true monsters!... So stay out of trouble or suffer the consequences. I mean, after all, ask your father what it was like for him when he exposed himself as a monster to them. Okay?
FRANKIE: Okay.
Frankie exits the classroom and bumps into Clawd Wolf.
CLAWD: Wow!
FRANKIE: It's fine.
CLAWD: You're a new ghoul here, right?
FRANKIE: Yeah!
CLAWD: I'm Clawd Wolf.
FRANKIE: Oh! I met your sister.
CLAWD: Which one?
FRANKIE: Both! But I got to know Clawdeen.
Draculaura walks up to Frankie and Clawd.
DRACULAURA: HEY CLAWD! Hi Frankie.
CLAWD: Oh. Hey Draculaura! How are you?
DRACULAURA: I'm doing GREAT! How 'bout yourself?
CLAWD: I'm doing great, too!
Draculaura looks into Clawd's eyes as it becomes evident to Frankie that they have a crush on each other.
FRANKIE: Okay, I gotta go get lunch!
At the creepateria, Frankie searches for a seat.
CLAWDEEN: Hey, Frankie! Come over here!
Frankie walks over to be seated next to Clawdeen, across from Lagoona.
LAGOONA: So, where's Draculaura?
FRANKIE: She's... uh... in the bathroom.
Cleo walks over and sits next to Lagoona.
CLAWDEEN: Cleo... why are you sitting with us?
CLEO (crying): Well... Clawdeen! I'm still friends with Lagoona... and Draculaura, and you all are still members of my Fear Squad!
LAGOONA: What's wrong?
Cleo looks over at Frankie.
CLEO: SHE! Is what's wrong!
Cleo points at Frankie.
FRANKIE: Me? What did I do?
CLAWDEEN: Awww, Cleo! Stop being dramatic and leave the new ghoul alone.
CLEO: Well, if it wasn't for her, Deuce wouldn't have left to get lunch without me... and left me to eat this filth they feed us!
CLAWDEEN: That sounds like a YOU issue... Not a Frankie issue!
CLEO: Are we still bitter, Clawdeen, that I broke it off with your big bro?
LAGOONA: Whoa, Cleo, mate! Not cool.
CLAWDEEN: I will tear you to pieces like a cheap chew toy!
CLEO: You know, there was a time when I was your brother's chew toy...or was he mine?
FRANKIE (mouth full): I'm slightly uncomfortable right, ghouls.
Clawdeen's eyes turn yellow as she darts for Cleo, bringing her to the floor as the other students chanted fight.
LAGOONA: Frankie! What do we do?
Frankie walks over and shocks both Clawdeen and Cleo.
CLEO: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?
CLAWDEEN: What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you?... You were supposed to be my best ghoulfriend.
Draculaura enters the creepateria.
DRACULAURA: Hey, ghouls! What's up?
Cleo leaves in anger as Lagoona and Frankie help Clawdeen up.
DRACULAURA: What happened here?
CLAWDEEN: Me and Cleo had a fight.
DRACULAURA: Oh dear.
Scarah Screams walks over.
SCARAH: Hey, Frankie! Do you have time for that interview?
FRANKIE: Oh! Uh.. yeah! Sure!
Scene 6[]
Frankie and Scarah sit in an empty classroom as Scarah records their conversation while reading questions from her iCoffin.
SCARAH: So, Frankie! Have you made some new ghoulfriends?
FRANKIE: Yeah, a few.
SCARAH: Perfect!
The clock in the room begins to tick slower, as Scarah is left with a horrible feeling.
FRANKIE: Are you okay?
SCARAH: Oh. My...
Scarah lets out a huge Banshee scream, breaking all the windows as Mr. Rotter runs towards them.
ROTTER: Oh no! Not again.
More students scream from the main hallway, as Mr. Ritter, Frankie, and Scarah follow them towards the sound of other students screaming in horror.
ROTTER: What is going on here?
CLAWDEEN: Sir, it's a student.
ROTTEN: Is he hurt?
LAGOONA: No.
DRACULAURA: He's dead! DEAD!
FRANKIE: Who is it?
ROTTER: Attention students, return to your class immediately!
FRANKIE: Who is it?
The ghouls look over at the crowd of monsters surrounding the body as Mr. Rotter clears room.
BLOODGOOD: What is the meaning of this!?
ROTTER: Miss Bloodgood! There appears to be an accident... a student has died.
BLOODGOOD: WHAT!?
As more students leave to go back to class, the ghouls notice it's Invisi Billy with a Javelin spear through his heart.
DRACULAURA: Oh... my! It's Invisi...
LAGOONA: Billy!
Frankie looks around at the remaining students in the room and sees Cleo and Deuce on the stairs looking down at the chaos. Bloodgood approaches them.
BLOODGOOD: You ghouls must leave and return to class while we deal with this mess.
Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Lagoona, and Scarah are escorted out of the hallway by Mr. Rotter.
LAGOONA: Who could kill Invisi Billy?
DRACULAURA: It could have been an accident.
CLAWDEEN: It sure as Hell doesn't look like an accident.
Final Scene[]
Frankie writes in her diary about her day at school.
FRANKIE (V.O.): Dear Diary, today was my first day of school... It's weird... For me, it could be considered the best first day ever, but not for Invisi Billy!
A flashback of the last day is shown as police gather at the school, and the ghouls are escorted out by police. Clawdeen sees her father, Clawrk Wolf and goes over to him.
CLAWDEEN: Dad!
CLAWRK: Clawdeen! Not now, this is a murder investigation.
Clawrk walks away from Clawdeen as Invisi Billy's body is brought out from the school covered with a sheet on a stretcher.
FRANKIE (V.O.): A student died at Monster High. Who killed Invisi Billy?... and will they strike again?
